FRANCE EURO 96 PLAYER ISSUE HOME FOOTBALL SHIRT 1996 #18 PEDROS
Condition: 8.5/10 - Superb; A few odd micro bobbles, very slight peel to reverse number (see pictures).
Measures 29.5" length x 24" pit to pit
Notes: Ultra rare match shirt, issued to midfielder #18 Reynald Pedros during the European Championships 1996 in England. Unfortunately Pedros missed the deciding penalty in the Semi-final loss Vs Czech Republic.
The shirt was issued to the player for a knockout stage match (Quarter-final Vs Netherlands or Semi-final Vs Czech Republic), but was never used as the side opted for the white away design for both matches.
Player Issue features include:
- Tournament crest (Euro 96) stitched (embroidered coq on store shirts) - the tournament crest was used in the knockout stages due to not knowing the future opponents in time
- Slimmer Adidas motif (thicker embroidery on store shirt)
- Player Sized Kitroom Vinyl #18 for Reynald Pedros - the front #18 is slightly off-centre
