AC MILAN PLAYER ISSUE PRE-SEASON AWAY FOOTBALL SHIRT 1994/95 #9 "DI CANIO"

Condition: 8/10 - Excellent; Labels crisp. Unwashed; odd feint mud mark. Couple areas of feint pulls to front. A few spots to flock number.

Notes: Rare match shirt, featuring Milan crest (no Scudetto), believed to have been issued / or worn by #9 Paolo Di Canio during Pre-season prior to the 1994-95 season when the Scudetto was used.

 

Di Canio wore Marco Van Basten's famous squad number after a serious ankle injury ruled him out for the season.

 

The shirt was acquired from an inherited private collection which stated this was worn / issued to Di Canio - there is no COA to confirm this, only the collector's word, but at the least it is a 100% match prepared shirt, as identified by the features below.

 

Player issue features include: Thick, textured material composition, Embroidered Lotto motif, Stitched Milan crest, Cotton cuffs & collar, Milan crest instead of Scudetto (not commercially available). Flock, player-sized #9 to reverse.
